From Grim to Bleak
An overview by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology
The contents of this exhibition were first showcased in 2003 when violence erupted, again, in the Middle-East. The intention was to build awareness among young people of the background to this long-standing conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis. The violence and gruesome reality captured in the pictures here are nothing compared to the cruelty now meted out on innocent civilians living in the Gaza strip. The suffering of the Palestinians has been an on-going saga since 1948 when the sovereign state of Israel was established and hostilities erupted from time to time between the two states.
